Lewis Hamilton was on the edge of a record eighth world title until he lost the championship of 2021 at the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi in the last round to Max Verstappen. Since then, Hamilton has not been in the title battle after Mercedes mostly fought in comparison with the Red Bull.
Now in Ferrari, Hamilton will hope that this is his best opportunity to win this elusive eighth championship, which will surpass the seven Michael Schumacher titles.
Verstappen, meanwhile, stares at the equalizer of Schumacher’s record of five consecutive titles.
The youngest winner of the F1 race
Kimi Antonelli will become the third youngest driver who started the Grand Prix in 18 years and 203 days when the lights turn off in Melbourne – only Max Verstappen (17 years and 165 days) and Lance Short (18 years and 147 days) were younger.
Antonelli has the opportunity to overthrow Verstappen’s record to become the youngest winner of the F1 race ever if one of the opening of three Grand Prix.
By April 8, the Italian teenager beat Verstappen’s feature of victory in 18 years and 228 days, which was done in Spanish Grand Prix in 2016. In its first exit Red Bull, so he would have to stand on the top step of the stand on the Australian GP (March 16), China’s GP (April 23) or Japanese (6 April).
The youngest F1-Pol-Sitter
A much more realistic record for Antonelli is to become the youngest sitter in the history of F1 because it actually has almost three seasons to beat the record of Sebastian Vettel on top quality qualifiers in 21 years and 72 days.
This means that Antonelli is by the beginning of November 2027 to surpass Vettel and will only provide 24 options this year.
Haas’s Oliver Bearman and Sauber’s Gabriel Bortolet also have the whole season to break the youngest record of half-sitter, while Isack Hadjar Racing Bull should do so before Grand Prix Sao Paula in November.
The youngest Brazilian to score points
Talking about F2 Bortoleto champion, if he can score before the summer break in August, he would have won the record of Felipe Mass if he was the youngest Brazilian who scored points.
Massa currently scheduled to Grand Prix Malaysia in 2002 when he was 20 years and 10 months.
Most of the race starts before the first podium
Nico Hulkenberg already holds the unwanted record of most races without a podium in F1, so maybe 2025 is finally the year in which he ended up in the first three.
German made 227 racing starts and took a record for the most starts without winning Grand Prix Miami 2024, while Andrea de Cesaris overcame.
Hulkenberg may be difficult to finish the race in the first three for Sauber, but if he does, Carlos Sainz’s record of most races begins without a stand (101).
The longest time between winnings in a race
Another long blow, but if Fernando Alonso won the Grand Prix, the longest would make history between winnings in the race.
Alons’s last F1 victory arrived at the Spanish Grand Prix for Ferrari 2013 and crossed the 200 races without standing on the top step.
Kimi Raikkonen holds a record 114 race between winning, stretching from the 2013 Grand Prix and the 2018 Grand Prix of the United States.
Hamilton targets the fastest history of circles
Hamilton could move to his league to two obscure fastest records in the circle. The Ferrari driver is tied to seven with Michael Schumacher and Nigel Mansell for the fastest circles on the same Grand Prix.
Schumacher achieved his feat at the Spanish Grand Prix and Mansell on the British Grand Prix. Hamilton must place the fastest circle on the Italian Grand Prix to move on to eight in Monza.
The 40-year-old is also related to Schumacher for the fastest circles in consecutive seasons (15). The fastest circle in any race this year would put Hamilton at 16, after setting up the fastest circle every year since 2010.
The fastest circles of all time hold Schumacher at 77, which Hamilton lags behind 10 years of age. There are 24 Grand Prix in 2025, but it is overhaul that there are big questions this year.
