Home Democrats have triggered an effort to ban the president Donald Trump From a one -sided transition to an “invasion or seized territory” from Greenland, Canada and Panama.
The measure, known as the Allies Act without invasion, was led by Ambassador Seth Maganiner, Dr.I., forbidden to finance the departure for the armed forces to involve operations by trying to take over Greenland, Canada and Panama.
The magazine said that Trump’s “reckless” rhetoric of obtaining a territory from three countries of the President is distrustful with the war forces assigned to him.

While the US Constitution dictates that the Congress has the authority to approve the proclamation of the war act, Congress last officially declared the war in 1942, and modern presidents entered conflicts without securing an explicit or formal approval of the Congress, according to the National Constitution Center.
Furthermore, the 1973 war force resolution requires that the executive authority notices Congress within 48 hours from the military action and ban the troops to remain hired more than 60 days without the approval of the congress. However, the legislation does not define “hostility”, and previous administrations claimed that their actions deal with military forces did not qualify as hostilities and, therefore, the approval of the Congress was not necessary, according to the project on the Government’s supervision.
Other democratic legislators who sponsored the measure include Reps. Eric Swallwell of California and Pratila Jayapal of Washington. The legislation was also sent to the Committee for External and Armed Service.

Trump has been discussing the possibility of spreading American territory for months and said in a post in December 2024 to the truth of Social that “the United States considers that Greenland’s property and control is an absolute necessity.”

Meanwhile, leaders from Greenland, who is the territory of Denmark, and Panama pushed Trump’s comments to Congress.
“We don’t want to be Americans, nor are Danes, we are Kalaallit (Greenlanders),” Greenland said Prime Minister Múte Egeda in a Facebook post translated by Reuters. “Americans and their leader have to understand that.”

“I reject, on behalf of Panama and all Panamanians, this new attack on truth and dignity as a nation,” Panaman President José Raúl Mulino said on Wednesday on Wednesday.
In the meantime, Republicans suspected whether Trump actually launched a military conflict against countries like Greenland. For example, Senator James Lankford, R-Klao, said in an interview with the NBC in January that he would not “attack another country” now.
“Honestly, the president was very clear,” Lankford said. “He is the president who held American troops outside the war. He does not ask for the war to start the war, start expanding American troops, but wants to be able to protect American national security, and part of this is our economic security and our future.”
