Harry Brook forbade the Indian T20 League


Star England Batter Harry Brook withdrew from the Indian Premier League for the second year in a row. England Batter, who was supposed to play for Delhi Capitals, made his decision to miss the Indian Premier League 2025 after a disappointing Trophy Champion Campaign ICC.

The 26-year-old played at the Indian Premier League 2023 for Sunrizes Hyderabad (SRH) after bought for 13.25 crowns. At the time of the season he was a weaker effect, scoring 190 runs with 11 games. However, he scored a great century out of 55 ball against Knight Riders in Kolkuta (KKR).

Delhi Capitals signed Harry Brook for 6.25 crowns during the IPL Mega auction in November. The franchise based in Delhi also bought it for IPL 2024, but he withdrew from the tournament and did not travel to India. Brook missed the IPL 2024 season after passing his grandmother.

Brook could be banned in the tournament for two years under the new rule introduced before the IPL 2025 mega auction. The rule was introduced after all 10 franchises caused concern about foreign players who pulled out at the last minute. However, injuries or medical reasons may be exceptions.

Harry Brook apologized to Delhi Capitals and their fans for withdrawing from the IPL 2025. In a message about X, Brook called a difficult decision. The right -wing dough stated that he wanted to prioritize national duties and rest for charging before the coming English summer.

“I made a very difficult decision to withdraw from the upcoming IPL,” Brook wrote on X. “I apologize unprotected by Delhi’s capital and their supporters.

“I love cricket. Ever since I was a young man I dreamed of playing for my country and I am extremely grateful that I have the opportunity to play the game I love at this level.

“With the guidance of the people I believe, I took time to think seriously about this decision. It is really important for England for the time and I want to fully commit to preparing for the upcoming series. To do it, I need time to charge after the most prominent career period to this day.”

The 26-year-old stated that not everyone would agree with his decision to withdraw from IPL 2025. Brook also expressed gratitude for the capabilities he received and supported by fans.

“I know not everyone will understand, and I don’t expect them, but I have to do what I believe is right, and playing for my country remains my priority and focus. I remain extremely grateful for the possibilities I have provided and the support I get,” he concluded.

The Indian Premier League 2025 should start on March 22. Kolkat Knight Riders (KKR) will face Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) in Eden Gardens in the introductory match.

Delhi Capitals will play their first game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 24 in Visakhapatnam. The franchise must now find a replacement for Brook and has yet to announce his captain for the season.
