The Indian skipper won the award player for the match in the finals due to his extraordinary stroke at 76 runs. In an interview with Emitiists after the game, he stated that they played a good cricket throughout the competition. He elaborated:
“It’s very nice. We played a really good cricket through the tournament, get out and achieve a result that our path is a great feeling, very pleased with how we played this game.
“It’s not natural for me, but that’s something I really wanted to do, when you try something different, you need the support of the team, and they were with me, Rahul Bhai in the 2023 World Cup, and now with Gauta Bhai.”
