Post Malone Gives Houston Bartender and Single Mom $20,000 Christmas Eve Tip
Santa Claus he was not the only one who threw presents on Christmas Eve.
According to Renee Brown, a single mother and bartender at The Railyard Bar in Houston, Texas, the rapper Post Malone channeled her inner Kris Kringle, giving her a huge tip for a day that had gotten off to an unusual start.
Brown says her vacation plans were a departure from her normal routine, which she usually spends with her 9-year-old daughter Iliana.
“We usually bake cookies and watch Christmas movies, and this was the first time I couldn’t do that,” she said. Music Mayem magazine of her regular plans.

“I work two jobs and homeschool my daughter. I’m constantly exhausted,” she explained. “We’ve been without a car for two years. And we recently moved after losing everything and starting over in August 2024.
“The day started very slowly and I just took it as it was, trying to be good for others while dealing with not being able to spend Christmas Eve with my daughter,” Brown recalled. But things would change when Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, showed up at her bar with friends and fellow artist, Shaboozey, to enjoy a quiet evening.
“At first I didn’t understand [Malone] was there until one of my co-workers from my other job came in and told me that Austin was out on the patio,” Brown said. “At first I thought he was kidding me, and then I kept seeing people coming out [and] I continued making the drink for about 30 minutes before curiosity got the better of me, and lo and behold, there he was.
“I’ve told all my regulars not to be weird and not bother him because it’s the dive bar next door and I’m sure he’s chosen that kind of place to feel a sense of normalcy.”
Railyard, described as a simple organization, devoid of pretentiousness, changed due to the singer of “Krugova”. presence.
“It was amazing to see everyone so happy and to see how kind he is to all the people who regularly spend their days with me,” she said. “Everyone he was with was so nice and welcoming too. We had a great night playing songs on the jukebox.”

The positive vibes were felt throughout the room, but things only got better for Brown.
“When Austin asked for his check, he didn’t have it because many of the regulars and his friends were buying his drinks,” Brown said. Intending to tip Brown, the rapper insisted on being charged something.
“So he asked me to call him for a penny or something, which I did. I went ahead and picked up all my checks and started putting in my tips. Then I got to his. It was a $20,000 tip.”

“I immediately burst into tears. It was a very emotional night already being away from home, being buried behind the bar, trying to figure out they were even there and then the tip on top,” she said. Working two jobs, Brown says Malone’s gift has truly been life-changing.
“This has put me in a position where I can at least find my way to and from work, pay my rent and save a little. I’m trying to save up to start a business so I don’t have to keep working two jobs and be able to spend more time with my daughter, and this is truly was a blessing that I cannot fully describe in words remember for the rest of my life.
“I finally got a chance to stop cleaning and talk to him a little bit more and thank him,” Brown said, sharing her gratitude with Malone. “I know I cried and thanked him, but he has no idea exactly how much this meant to me.”
Brown shared photos of her and the rapper on Instagram, adding that the performer is “a little down the most humble personal celebrity” she’s had the “pleasure of meeting”.

Although she was able to thank Malone in person, Brown reiterated her gratitude in the interview. “If this message gets through to him, I know I told him that night how grateful I was, but I want to say again that he helped me in ways I can’t even explain,” she said. “My best friend [Matthew] and I’ve been a huge fan of his for years, and it was amazing to meet him and experience that moment.”
The representative of the singer who will go on tour with the musical guest Jelly Roll starting in April, did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
