Sonia Bompastor welcomes Chelsea mentality after a crucial WSL

Chelsea leader Sonia Bompastor welcomed her team’s winning mentality after their crucial victory for women Super League (WSL) over Leicester City on Wednesday night.
League leaders risked the points to reduce points after being held at Brighton & Hove Albion over the weekend. However, Bompastor has proven why they are considered one of the best teams in Europe this season while dismantling the foxes at Kingsmeadow.
It took less than ten minutes for the hosts to open the scoring while Catarina Macario shot them in front before Aggie Bever-Jones added a second shortly after the break. Yuka Momiki withdrew her goal for visitors just moments later, but Erin Cuthbert put the score 3-1 late without a doubt.
Chelsea has now put eight points among himself and Marc Skinner Manchester United in second place, although he played the game more than his closest challengers. United will have the opportunity to reduce the void to five points when they visit Liverpool on March 14th.
Speaking after a permanent whistle, Bompastor admitted that her players remained frustrated by the weekend against Brighton and praised their mentality to answer in such a positive way.
“After dropping points in the last game, everyone was frustrated,” the media butter said. “We are all competitors and hate to drop points.
“It’s a winning mentality in Chelsea. We had one day when we were frustrated and then we had to refuse because tonight was a quick turn of the match, which may have been the best that could happen to us.
“From this season, and also from last season, Chelsea has always shown that they are reacting. I expected to see it from my players after we dropped points on Sunday.”
Great reinforcement for Chelsea On Wednesday night was Nawnt forward Mia Fishel’s return. The 23-year-old stood aside just over a year with ACL injury, but she returned to the team for the first time, though she had yet to get a minute on the field.
Talking about Fishel’s return, Bompastor said: “Having Mia in the team was really positive news. It’s really close to returning to a competitive level. It’s still part of the process, but I think the game was not appropriate tonight.
“It will come soon and it’s really good that we have it. She’s in a good place, but coming back from ACL, you always need to go step by step, build fitness and also confidence.
“Mia is a really good player. He works hard for that. I haven’t seen her [play] Still, as a manager and playing games with me, but according to what I see in training, she has a real mentality and works very hard. “
The presenter also provided a brief update of pushes Reitena and Kerra herself, who is closer to fitness. Reiten returned after an international break with a back injury and missed the last two Chelsea WSL Fixments, although Bompastor expects it to become available sooner or later.
Kerr, like Fishel, was placed aside for more than a year with an ACL injury, but he has yet to be in the composition. Bompastor has confirmed that Australia International is going well and that he is not afraid to go to fight during training, but at this stage it is still protected.
