South Korean combat jets are wrongly bombarding the village, leaving 7 injured
The South Korean village near the North Korean border was mistakenly shelled two fighter aircraft from their own south air force, leaving seven people injured and damaged homes and churches.
The Jets participated in a joint exercise with the United States Army when each of them lowered four bombs, towards the southern army. The bombs were supposed to hit a range of kilometers from the village, but at least one of the South Korean pilots entered incorrect coordinates, the army said.
Two injured people were seriously wounded, said officers in Pocheon, a city involving the village of football, where bombs fell. Local news said none of the victims are in critical condition.
The army announced that it was suspended by all the exercises of living fire while an investigation was conducted. The exercise on Thursday was associated with annual joint exercises, known as the freedom of Shield, which the South Korean and US army spend every year, which they should officially start on Monday.
There was no direct commentary on the Military United States.
A woman in a football that runs a trade in her home said she was there when a “earthquake -like explosion” crushed the village, breaking windows in her home and in neighboring houses. Her home was 700 meters from the place where the most serious damage was recorded.
The photos that carry local news showed a house in the village with parts of its walls and a paved roof. They also showed damage to the Catholic Church, and torn branches from Borov were torn around.
The South Korean Air Force did not say how many eight bombs were hit by football, which is about 20 miles from the strongly established North Korean border. He issued an apology and promised a victim fee.
On Thursday, South Korean and United States said that this year’s Freedom Shield exercises will start on Monday and last 11 days. But in recent days, less common exercises have started with the main exercises.
The United States has 28,500 soldiers stationed in South Korea. Allies spend several joint military exercises each year, calling them defensive in nature. Carl Vinson American Aircraft Group Bracket has fallen into the South Korean port this week to join Freedom Shield exercises.
North Korea is deleted at the exercise, calling them rehearsals for war.
On Monday, Kim Yo-Jong, sister of the North Korea leader, Kim Jong-un, who also acts as his spokeswoman, has accused the administration of President Trump of the “toughest and confrontation of the will” against her country, citing joint exercises with South Korea.
“We will never limit ourselves to a quiet sitting and commenting on the situation,” Mrs. Kim said. She indicated that North Korea could continue testing of nuclear weapons.
