I know Pam Bondi personally and she will make a great Attorney General

As someone deeply invested in the safety of our communities – as someone who lost a younger brother to a senseless murder – I ask you to join me in fully supporting Pam Bondi as our next United States Attorney.

For the past four years, the US Attorney General’s Office has been plagued by bias, inconsistent administration of justice and prioritization of political agendas over the public good. From selective prosecutions to eroding public trust, her failure to act independently has undermined the rule of law, creating perceptions of bias and deepening divisions within the country.

With Bondi at the helm, I have no doubt about it Ministry of Justice will usher in a new era of true integrity and meet the challenges of our time. That said, one of the reasons I’m so excited about Bonda’s potential as our next Attorney General is her work with Caldwell Institute for Public Safety.

Bondi, who has been on our advisory board since our launch, has been my active mentor and ally. So, I got a front-row seat on how he would handle the challenges America faces in combating violent crime and gang violence, addressing the opioid epidemic, and protecting victims of human trafficking.

Our organization is focused on reducing violent crime through an innovative strategyEvidence-based policies, and Bond’s expertise and commitment to real solutions and real justice, have made her an invaluable advisor in this endeavor.

Bondi’s record speaks for itself. During it served as Florida Attorney General from 2011 to 2019, she transformed the office into a center for consumer protection, crime prevention and judicial reform. She took on powerful interests, negotiating billions of dollars in economic damages suffered by the state of Florida from the BP oil spill, including lost tax revenue. In addition, she negotiated settlements to hold drug companies accountable for the opioid crisis and worked tirelessly to dismantle human trafficking networks.

For example, Bond’s leadership in holding drug companies accountable was groundbreaking in securing significant financial settlements that funded treatment and prevention programs, saving lives and giving hope to those struggling with addiction. Bondi also pushed for tougher laws to curb the spread of synthetic opioids, ensuring Florida is at the forefront of the fight against this deadly scourge. Imagine what she could accomplish on a national level with the Department of Justice resources at her disposal.

She has been a relentless advocate for victims of crime, pushing for measures like Marsy’s Law to ensure their voices are heard and their rights are protected. Under her leadership, Florida has become a national leader in anti-trafficking efforts, setting an example for other states to follow. Her experience in solving complex problems – from gang violence to synthetic drugs – is perfectly aligned with our mission to address the root causes of crime and foster safer communities.

With Bondi at the helm, I have no doubt that the Department of Justice will usher in a new era of true integrity and respond to the challenges of our time. Admittedly, one of the reasons I’m so excited about Bonda’s potential as our next DA is her work with the Caldwell Public Safety Institute.

What really sets Bondi apart may be her ability to lead on the national stage now. As a former president of the National Association of State Attorneys, she has already demonstrated her skill at building coalitions and working across national lines to address pressing issues such as cybercrime and drug trafficking. She consistently defended state sovereignty while respecting the balance of power between the state and federal governments. This collaborative approach to governance is exactly what we need in the Attorney General’s Office.

As someone who has worked closely with her through the Caldwell Institute, I can attest to her passion for justice and her tireless desire to make our communities safer.
