Liverpool fixtures compared to Arsenal and Chelsea after nine-goal thriller at Spurs
The Premier League table is looking extremely strange as we approach the halfway point of the 2024/25 season.
Nottingham Forest occupy the top four places, Manchester City is in seventh place, while Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United languish at lower half. However, it is less surprising to see Liverpool at the top of the league.
Arne Slot’s side have been outstanding during the first half of the season and now they could lose the Premier League title. However, Arsenal and Chelsea are in hot pursuit and the London duo will not be deterred in their attempts to disrupt the party.

Arsenal secured a a much-needed win over Crystal Palace on Saturday after back-to-back league draws and will aim to close the year with a similarly emphatic win. The Gunners host the newly promoted Ipswich Town on Friday night, with the Tractor Boys who just happened to be beat Newcastle United 4-0.
The new year brings a short but challenging journey to Brentford. The Bees lost just their first Premier League home game of the season at the weekend as they were demolished by the impressive Nottingham Forest.
Ten people Arsenal lost points against Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of the season and will be looking for revenge just three days after their trip to the Gtech Community Stadium. The Seagulls are going through a difficult period and the Gunners could take advantage of that.
Arsenal then host the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final with Newcastle United before welcoming Man Utd to the Emirates Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup. There will be little time to rest for Mikel Arteta’s team.
Three days after Man Utd’s trip to north London, Arsenal face their local rivals Tottenham. A match that always produces drama, goals and a little chaos – the Gunners won the reverse game 1-0 thanks to Gabriel’s header.
Complicated January doesn’t get any simpler a few days later, with Aston Villa arrives at the Emirates in the Premier League. Villans won this very encounter 2-0 last season and Unai Emery could get one over his former employers again.

Chelsea undoubtedly have the easiest of the Premier League’s next five games of the three sides that grace the top of the table. The Blues also don’t have a Carabao Cup semi-final to worry about after their early exit from the season.
Boxing Day brings the West London derby with Fulhamwho is undefeated in the last five matches, but has won only once in that time. It won’t be easy for Chelsea against the Cottagers, but they will be content to end the calendar year by traveling to Portman Road to face a setback Ipswich.
Chelsea’s first game of 2025 travels to south London, where they will face off The Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Blues have enjoyed this fixture in recent years but could only manage a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign.
Enzo Maresca should give his team enough time to recover after the clash with the Eagles. Chelsea face Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup before their next clash with the Premier League Bournemouth. The Cherries are currently fifth in the table after a very impressive few weeks.
Chelsea then welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to west London after putting six past Old Gold in the reverse fixture. However, the Midlands club are now under new management following the appointment of Vitor Pereira, meaning the upcoming fixture is likely to be a tougher challenge than the clash with Molineux.
