Stand-up comic book David Lucas believes that a good authentic comedy can bring healing to people like spiritual words of a religious leader.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, The rise comedian described that, although he had a traditional upbringing that could make him a congregation leader, he found the ability to bring to people another type of healing through his dull comedy style.

He described his comedy as “in a sense, preaching and healing to many people who go through different periods of their lives.”

Macon, a native of Georgia, talked about growing up with a single mom and his strict religious grandfather as a father.

“Yes, I grew up in Macon, Georgia and I grew up with, you know, the traditional household of the southern Baptist. My grandfather was very strict,” he said.

Lucas mentioned that his grandfather would take him to the “Church all the time”, joking that it was as if his grandfather was preparing him for religious life.

“So it’s crazy that I showed myself that because it seems like he was preparing me to be a kind of preacher,” he said.

Like a preacher who help souls to move the spiritual darkness, Lucas believes to comedians like him, Joe Rogan And others help people see the truth in an era where traditional media is widely discredited.

“I feel like in a very dark period, Rogan’s Podcast brought a lot of Enlightenment to people, especially when he began to bring in accredited people who could support what he was saying,” Lucas said.

“But a lot of what we know as a public media is discredited. And I think it came together with the territory of Coidida and the situation of George Floyd. You know, they really inserted a lot of fear in us – a lot of fear, a lot of doubt, where people didn’t know where they were turning.”

Continued, “so when you turn on Jre [Joe Rogan Experience]You hear this guy, you know, telling you, “Hey, you may not be vaccinated if you are a healthy adult.” Then people are like, “Well, this is aligned with what I believe in, because why would I put a vaccine in my system that I know absolutely nothing about?”

Rogan’s podcast, along with others – like Comedian Theo von’s Podcast – They were widely credited with beating traditional media and news in providing information about people in recent months, especially about the 2024 presidential elections. Many say that President Trump has appeared on those long -term programs won the election.

On his latest special, “uncencelble”, the comic portrays his view of anti-Status-Qoo, setting a series of jokes that distort the cultural and political norms of our current era.

Lucas’s special, who fell online in 2024, contains jokes against politicians such as former President Joe Biden and President Trump, as well as digging against the #Metoo movement and LGBTQ movement – especially the Trans Community.

However, despite the fact that after a very political theme, Lucas insisted on Fox not to be seen as a political comic book, but as someone who jokes based on “common sense”.

“I do not like to take a political attitude, although a lot of my attitudes in my life are more in favor. But I also have some liberal views. But it’s like common sense of common sense at the end of the day.”

A large part of his motivation to reject some direct conversations and common sense in his audience is his contempt for groups that believe they should be outside the borders.

He emphasized Fox that he refuses to easily embark on more sensitive groups, saying that no one deserves to be protected from jokes.

Lucas pointed out that comedians and subcasters like Joe Rogan filled the news and information space that people turned after the traditional media were discredited to a wide extent. (Joe Rogan Experience/Strong Jre YouTube Channel)

“But it’s like some groups want this special treatment and want to be a part [of society]. Well, being a part of it comes with jokes and criticism. So, you have to accept all the aspects of that. Not just one -sided, “he said.” The blacks are discussed, discussed by fat people, discussed by men, who are discussed, discussed, are discussed directly, gay talk about it. That’s it. “

It seems that after sensitive groups or sensitive items, one of Lucas’s favorite aspects of comedy. A comic book, who started his career as a baked comic on MTV “Yo mom“Back in the 2000s, Fox said,” the crowds will turn me away because I will lower the deep, deep, dark paths. And sometimes I like to put myself in a hole to see if I can get out of it. “

“It’s challenging, brother. It’s challenging,” he said, describing that he was able to dig into these holes during the show “A very great feeling”.

The comic book has its podcast called “Fishing with David Lucas”, where it sits with famous comedians, influencers and other interesting people to talk about their lives, interests and other topics in peaceful nature.

“Like, you are in nature, you are relaxed. And then the people who come to Podcast are like,” This is much better than being in the studio. Like, only in peace I feel water, “said the comic book.” This is like two old men sitting on the lake talk to — You know? So, you are very relaxed and I think a lot of people appreciate the nature of doing the podcast, because you don’t really get it anywhere else. “
