Jake Knapp stayed in one bow of leadership, embarking on the last round of the classic classic after the third round of Topsy-turvy at PGA National.
American, who in the introductory circle cartorated by the historic 59It went down on three pace to turn, as 10 players enjoyed at least part of the lead during the circle.
Four birds on the back nine, including two in the last three holes, took Knapp to a total of 68 and 16 below.
“A little everywhere,” Knapp described things after the third round. “I feel like I was playing pretty solid. Somehow I misjudged a few things and definitely made some bad swings.
“There are a lot of great players here who can go stupid, so they just need to try to adhere to my game plan.”
Michael Kim, one of several players fighting in a short 15 hole, sits one shot from a tempo after 67.
“I canceled him around and somehow I realized the back nine,” Kim said.
“I have a good chance of going to tomorrow, what is all I can look for. I’m sure I’ll be nervous, but as long as I feel like my game is there, then I’ll know that I have the opportunity.”
