The Japanese who unexpectedly kissed the K-POP boy’s BTS band at a fan event under investigation by the South Korean police.
Police have called a woman – who is currently in Japan – to report to the examination of charges of sexual harassment in a public space.
The incident happened during the first public event of the K-POP idol in Seoul last June, in which he saw to hug 1,000 fans. Instead of just hugging the star, it seems that the woman kissed his face, and Jin reacted, turning his face.
Kiss has angry other BTS fans, one of which filed a criminal complaint against her, leading the police to start an investigation.
June 13, 2024, a day after being discharged from the army, Jin, whose real name Kim Seok-Jin held a fan event where he hugged 1,000 fans and performed songs in front of 3,000 others.
During the three-hour “Hugithon”, fans who won the opportunity to embrace him in line and went to the stage first to meet the 33-year-old star.
But one of them caused restlessness when she appeared to kiss Jin’s face.
The slips of the moment became viral on the internet. Videos show that Jin, surprised by the moves, tried to turn his head as he hugged his wife before he quickly moved to the next fans. Fans could also see themselves responding angrily to her actions.
Later, she later wrote on her blog that she had killed him “on her neck” and “The skin was very soft.”
The women’s identity was not discovered, but police added that they identified it with the help of their Japanese colleagues.

Jin is the first member of the BTS to be discharged from military duties. He was followed by a j-hope discharged in October. The other four – V, RM, Jimin, Jungkook and Suga – are still serving, and the band is expected to reunite only in June 2025.
K-Pop idols are known for their close relationship with their fans through various communication channels and events. It is common for artists to communicate with fans through conversations on social networks and personal events to grow loyal fans.
But fans and agencies are increasingly aware of some toxic fans’ cultures. For example, many artists have loudly stressed in the stress caused by “Sasaeng fans”, who are overly obsessed with their idols who would persecute and harass the artists.
