Newcastle vs Brighton: lines, statistics and review
Match review
For the second time this season, Newcastle welcomed Brighton to St James Park, while they clash for a place in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Seagulas have already triumphed in the northeast this season, beating Magpies 1-0 in October by the kindness of Danny Welbeck’s goal.
But Eddie Howe is determined to stop Newcastle’s endless trophy drought after making a multiple finals and did not get his team across the line.
A large part of the conversation around this game existed about whether Alexander Isaac would be suitable enough to lead the line, and Howe admitted that Newcastle had a much better chance against Brighton with him.
He said, “I think he is quite clear with Alex for me, if he is able to go to any game that leads to the finals of the EFL Cup, then he will play and have to have that way of thinking with all our players.
“You can’t save the players because they will lose the rhythm. The best thing for the player to stay in good shape and stay in shape is to play them and we will try to do it with all our players.”
Eddie Howe on FA Cup:
“It’s a huge competition. We know the importance of it, we don’t get it lightly. This will be a difficult game, Brighton is in excellent shape, this should be a really exciting tie. Their shape was very strong, it will be a test for us, but one … pic.twitter.com/xpkz9y32zc

“I think, of course, when it doesn’t play, the team has a completely different look. It is still a team that can be successful, but it will have to do it in a different way.
“Alex has top quality. We have shaped our game on his traits. He is an extraordinary talent and possesses the skills and abilities and way of playing that makes us better in my opinion, and that is not the disrespect for anyone we have.”
In the meantime, Brighton chief Fabian Hurzeler on a mission is to make fans proud of the club, although he has stopped promising the title.
He added, “First of all, that’s my job. I always try to give everything for the club and, of course, I always want the club to be the most successful to be we can be.
“It’s my job, along with staff and players, and that’s why we try.
“We promise everyone that we will try to give everything on the field and beside the field to be proud, but we cannot promise that we will win the title.
“This is the thing we work on and what we try to do in our daily behavior and then we will see what will come in the future.”

“There is always a risk with any player, but we would not take the risk of his long -term fitness. We will see how he is today and if he is in shape, he will play.”

Newcastle VS Brighton Prediction
It’s really everyone’s game on Tyneside this weekend.
Newcastle showed the flashes of the splendor that made the Champions League location two seasons ago, but the Magpies were also vulnerable.
Howow’s side actually worked well against Liverpool in the middle of the week, especially without Isak.
In the meantime, the seagulls finally find the pattern under Hurzeller again, and they will support that they do double over their opponents at St. James.
Drawing and possibly additional time and penalties could be on the cards, but we support the hosts to just go to the south coast side.
Prediction: Newcastle 3-2 Brighton
