Two Russian divers were found dead, one in a shark jaw, after a strong current separated them from their group in a popular Philippine video, a coastal guard officer said on Friday.
Four Russians-57-year-old Eduart Perigudin, his two sons Timofy and Ilya, 18 and 29 years old, and the other man-gone were near the Batangas resort on the main island of Luzon on Thursday afternoon, when they and their diving master pulled underwater heads of the District Coastal Guards, AFP said.
Ilya Perigudin missed both hands when he was pulled from water in which more sharks were seen, according to a Coast Guard Statement.
“His remains were found hovering near the shore … with both hands missing because of the apparent shark attack. More sharks were observed near the recovery,” the statement said.

Lapitan had previously told the AFP that the 29-year-old “withdrew the shark” when the rescuers located him in the late afternoon.
But it was not clear whether he was killed by a shark or already dead, Lapitan said, adding that the bodies were handed over to family members without autopsy.
The second victim, which was identified by the Moscow news agency Melekhov, citing the Russian embassy, was found about an hour earlier and declared dead upon arrival after being transported to a local hospital.
Eduart Perigudin, his younger son Timofy and their diving master, managed to appear and return to the boat, Lapitan said.
The Russian Embassy did not immediately respond to the commentary request.
