Jason Gillespie reveals that India can beat the “one -dimensional” England
During an interview with Toi, Jason Gillespie asked about the chanses of India in a five-game test series in England, which will start from June this year. Gillespie supported India to win if they could perfectly make their plans.
The former Australia quickly called England one -dimensional side that just knows how to attack and defend themselves with a ball. He believes that the one -dimensional plan of England will not work for them all the time.
“Yes, England is one -dimensional and it can be overcome if India is planning well and performing its plans. England does not adapt and adapt to the conditions when hitting,” said former Pakistan coach.
“They just want to achieve the results and hit the boundaries and look very defensive with their field positions when the bowls are not held with a ball plan for a long time,” he added.
Will play in IPL affect Indian preparations?
Jason Gillespie has also been asked if the previous IPL 2025 season will affect Indian preparations for the test series of England. He believes that India’s players are experienced enough to adapt to different game formats.
“Second, playing in IPL before a tour in England should not affect Bumrah and Co; they are experienced bowlers and will quickly adapt,” added Jason Gillespie.
The IPL 2025 final will be played on May 27, while the test series will start on June 20. After two months of continuous T20 Crown in IPL, it will be important for Indian players to adjust to test the Crushkket from the T20 format.
Players will also have to adapt to the conditions of seam and cloud in England and that will be a challenge for them. However, India has gone well lately in tests in England and will return again.
