Liverpool confirms the departure of manager Matt Beard
Liverpool confirmed that the club split with the head coach Matt Beard.
Reds are currently taking seventh place in Women’s Super League (WSL) Data with only four wins below the belt so far this season.
Best four endings in 2023/24. The beard has appointed a WSL manager in the season, leading the Mersesside team on insipid driving. But after ending up in front of Manchester United, Liverpool failed to support his impressive campaign.
The team struggled with unfortunate injuries, losing key players. With Liverpool, there are now 14 points from the best four, which have been able to break through last season.
Liverpool thanked Beardi for his contribution in Official club statement: “We have all experienced fantastic moments with Matt as a manager of LFC Women and we express our gratitude for his significant contribution. Our priority was to bring back this team where it belongs and we collectively achieved 2022.
“We have to build on this momentum and even though it was a difficult decision, we believe that it gives us the best opportunity for future success in the field.”
Amber Whiteley will take over the temporary manager for a temporary future, as the club begins to search for a permanent main coach.
In 2013 and 2014, Beard delivered WSL titles back during his first magic in Liverpool. After work at West Ham United, who led to the Women’s Fa Cup final in Wembley in 2019, and Bristol City, Londoner, returned to Liverpool since he withdrew, and took them to a top flight.
