The Republican House leaders initially postponed on Tuesday, when it was not clear if they would have enough support to pass that measure.
The speaker Johnson and the other oldest Republican, Steve Scalise, spent hours working to convince the party’s fluctuations to support a plan that, as well as reducing taxes, would finance border security measures, deportations and military consumption.
Trump personally called some of the retention to encourage them to bring an account, two Republican leaders said.
“Trump has helped us with many members,” Scalise told reporters. “Talking to anyone we asked to really clarify things.”
Three of the four parties that were initially considered firm votes – representatives Tim Burchett, Victoria Spartz and Warren Davidson – eventually voted for.
“There are a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we will deliver the US first plan,” Mike Johnson’s president told reporters after voting.
“We’ll celebrate tonight, and we’ll roll up our sleeves and get back in the morning.”
Democrats have lined up to criticize the budget as a reduction in taxes mainly for the rich, which they said they would harm the low -revenue families that rely on the medical health program funded by Medicaid.
The party worked that there were so many members in the Chamber to the key vote, and the representative Brittany Petterson arrived with her son while she was on maternity leave.
The Senate will be under pressure to take over the home consumption framework because President Trump approved it, despite their separate law presented last week.
