Longtime Cleveland guard Owner Larry Dolan died at the age of 94, Tim announced on Monday.
The Dolan family is the longest -running owner in the franchise history, and the patriarch is lifelong Clevelander who have influenced his community and the field over the years.
“We are sad about the loss of our father, but happy to have him as part of our lives as long as we did it,” said Morsen’s son, chairman and executive director Paul Dolan. “He was a dear husband, father and grandfather who was passionate about his family, business, our community and love for our local sports teams, including the possession of Cleveland guard.”

“In February 2000, he bought his beloved baseball team in his hometown. We are forever grateful for his passion and support from the Northeast Ochi community and the organization of Cleveland Guardians.”

Commissioner MLB Rob Manfred also published a statement of Dolana, expressing condolences to family and organization.
“I am sad because of the passage of a native of Cleveland Larry Dolna, whose family ownership has made their team in a quarter of a century in his hometown of the consistent winner and main path of their community,” Manfred wrote in a statement. “Larry was a lifelong baseball fan who served our country as the first lieutenant in the Marine of the United States. He firmly believed in the mentoring of young people and the use of guardians as a way to influence Greater Cleveland.”
Dolan bought his team in his hometown for “323 million from Richard Jacobs, and since then he has seen that Cleveland Post 14 won the season and nine trips to Postseason.”
In 2016, they reached the world series as winners of the American League, but in an exciting game they fell on Chicago Cubs at home.

Paul Dolan eventually took over as the chief franchise owner in 2013, eventually monitoring the change of the name of the team in the Guardians 2021.
