San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie said one of his main role models was former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who was first elected as a moderate Republican and styled Tehnocrat himself.
“Bloomberg is big for me,” he said in Interview with Politico. “As we structure our administration, it is very in Vena that Bloomberg has led.”
In 2024, Lurie defeated the then Mayor of London by running a political campaign of a multiple centrist style in a city launched by a pioneer Progressive drug and alcohol availability programs For the homeless San Francisco.

When asked by a politics to describe his policy, Lurie says she believes in “common sense”.
“That’s it,” he continued. “Whatever I can do to make San Francisco the biggest city in the world again. I’ll do. I’ll talk to anyone.”
Lurie also decided not to be referred to as a progressive politician.
“I’m San Franciscan,” Lurie said. “People want to mark, I don’t even know what it means more. It’s not progressive to see what we see here, okay, it’s not progressive.”

Lurie said the city has serious obstacles to overcome, including tourist areas.
“We have our problems, they are concentrated in several areas where our tourists come,” Lurie said. “We have to clean that.”
“San Francisco has long been known for its tolerance and inclusion values,” he said. “But nothing about these values is to let us allow almost 8000 people to experience homelessness in our city.”

In previous interviews, Lurie said he wanted to run for mayor because he had a hard time explaining the fall of San Francisco to his children, According to the Wall Street Journal.
After Lurie’s victory of 10 points over the breed, he told CNN that he wanted to return to policies of common sense.
