“Everyone knows how much my relationship with Feyenoord is,” Van Persie said.
“I am extremely looking forward to, together with strong staff, to work with the players and achieve success together.”

Feyenoord Director General Dennis and Kloese said Van Persie had installed a profile of the trainer they were looking for.
“We are delighted that with Robin Van Persie we can appoint a real club icon with a new Feyenoord coach,” said Kloese. “Robin knows the club incredibly well and knows exactly what it takes to achieve results.
“With its enormous international experience, Robin can obviously help players develop here. Moreover, his football vision fits perfectly with what we have in mind in Feyenoord: attacking and well -maintained football, combined with gut, intensity and struggle. “
Van Persie signed a two -year contract with Heerenveen at the beginning of this season. The club is the ninth of the Netherlands League and in September suffered a 9-1 defeat in AZ Alkmaar, as well as the elimination of the Quick Boys Cup.
Van Persie scored 46 goals in 123 appearances in two spells for Feyenoord and between playing for Arsenal, Manchester United and Fenerbahce.
Feyenoord is currently third in the Dutch League, 11 points behind Ajax Amsterdam leaders and played more games.
Inter Milan will meet in the Champions League round of 16 next month.
