Israeli defense forces (IDF) said they were looking at reports that Hamas had handed over the body of the Shiri Bibasa Talac on Friday night.
The reports were “currently reviewed”, a spokesman for the IDF International LT COL Nadav Shoshani wrote in a post on X.
It comes after Israel said forensic testing showed the body he had handed over Thursday, and Hamas said that Shiri Bibas, it was not from the Israeli mother, but a different unidentified woman.
The IDF is in contact with the Bibas family, Shoshani said. “We emphasize the family request to show responsibility and not publish unauthorized reports,” he added.
