During an interview with Fort Myers in spring team training, Devers made it clear that the third base is still where it wants to be.
“The third base is my position. I played that,” Devers said through the interpreter. “I don’t know what their plans are. I know we talked. I clearly gave my wishes, and yes, whatever from here, I don’t know.”
Then, when asked if he would move to the appointed striker, Devers replied, “I gave them an answer I just gave, no.”

Where Red Sox goes out of here, it will be interesting to watch. Bregman could move to Shortstop, but Trevor Story is currently scheduled to start the day. Both Bregman and Story have a second basic experience, and this position is not carved in stone.
