Deepseek, a Chinese startup artificial intelligence starter, temporarily paused to download its Chatbot applications in South Korea, while working with local authorities to deal with privacy concerns, South Korea officials said on Monday.
The Personal Data Protection Commission in South Korea said that Deepseek’s applications were removed from the local versions of Apple’s App Store and Google Play on Saturday night and that the company agreed to work with the Agency to strengthen privacy protection before re -launching applications.
The action does not affect users who have already taken over Deepsek on their phones or used it on personal computers. NAMA, Director of the South Korean Commission Investigation Department, advised South Korean users Deepseek to delete the app from their devices or avoid entering personal data into the tool until the problems are resolved.
Deepseek attracted attention around the world last month when he claimed to have built his popular chatbot with the work of the costs of those made by US companies.
