The new way of keeping family recipes began with his grandmother and her couscous dish.
The Zach Mashaal and Matthew Mashaal brothers, at the age of 16 and 17, from Roslyn, New York, loved the traditional family family holiday food.

This group chat developed into make Like Mom, a mobile app that officially launched in December.
The goal is to do it like a mom, said Zach Mashaal, “is to” preserve these cultural recipes for our children’s children. ”
The application combines the love of the brothers toward Family culture as well as their entrepreneurial spirit.

“We attend entrepreneurship classes at school,” Matthew Mashaal said. “When there is a problem, we know we are winning it with a solution. We are guided by a solution.”

While two brothers are proud of their Iraqi and Moroccan heritage and culture, their favorite dish on the application is completely something from another kitchen: spaghetti and meatballs.
“Every Wednesday is the night of spaghetti and meatballs, and we love it so much,” said Zach Mashaal. “That’s our favorite meal.”

Their mother, however, recently started graduate school, and classes on Wednesday night – putting spaghetti and meatballs on the rear burner.
