ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Brutal Acceptance of Dev Capillary on the “injured” Jasprit Bumrah
Former Indian skipper Caprill Dev spoke about the injuries that have been going on at the Indian Camp in the last few months. He pointed out that players are constantly playing cricket for 10 months, which increases the risk of injury.
The Indian national cricket team, in the last few months, has been much alleviated with injuries to some key players. It cost them some big games, and fate could have been the same for them even in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which should start on February 19.

The fast bowlers faced an injury during the last game of Border-Gavascar Trophy 2024-25, while in 5 games he bought over 150 additions. However, since then, Jasprit Bumrah was not in action, and recently BCCI confirmed that Pacer had not gained complete fitness, replacing it with a sharp wound.
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, India will have only one older pacera on the team in Mohammed Shami. But also a fast bowler returns from an injury. The Dev Capillary added that nothing could be done if the player was injured. He also wished the Indian Team of Happiness for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, saying that the trust of young people was amazing. Explained:
“You never want your main players to get injured, but if that happens, you can’t do anything. Good luck to my Indian team – go and play well,”
“When you see young people, their confidence is amazing. We didn’t have that much confidence when we were young. Good luck to them.”
India will open its campaign at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against the Bangladesh National Team. The match will be played at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on February 20th.
