Numerous people were injured after a car entered a group in the German city of Munich, police said.
The incident happened in the central town of Stiiglmaierplatz, where the Verdi union organized a protest related to the strike.
Police said they had detained the driver and that he no longer represented any threat to the public.
The incident comes while senior officials from all over the world prepare for a gathering in the city for the annual safety conference in Munich and just over a week before Germany is held Federal choices February 23.
