Guardiola is happy to avoid fear in the “incredible” FA Cup after Manchester City Edge Out Leyton Orient
Pep Guardiola welcomed the “amazing” Fa Cup after watching his side Manchester City this afternoon avoiding the almighty intimidation at Leyton Orient.
City lagged behind halftime after Stefan Ortega turned Jamie Donley’s effort in 45 meters into his net, but goals after a break from abducting Khusan and Kevin de Bruyne pushed Visitors to the hat in the fifth round.
Guardiola told the BBC Sport: “We played a really good game, it was a typical FA Cup game – that’s why this competition is amazing.
“We knew they were strong and they would run in the channels. They are a really good team and incredibly well -managed, but we created a lot of chances. I’m happy to go through.”
De Bruyne digs a weakened team
On Tuesday night, Guardiola has appointed a much -changed lineup given the Real Madrid city face in the first part of their Champions League, but denied that he was irritated that he had to bring Phil Foden and De Bruyne to dig his team to dig up his team of holes.
“Absolutely no, that’s why they’re here,” he added. “We take this competition incredibly seriously and we thought it was the best decision. I am happy about Kevin’s goal, his movement was really good. “
Guardiola were debutants of Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez in their initial XI, but the first was drained at halftime and the second was injured in an accumulation at the Orient opener.
Visitors thought Gonzalez was faulted, but Judge Darren Bond waved their protests.
“Welcome to the Premier League and Referees,” Guardiola said sarcastically. “Maybe he knew the judges because I understand that it is not easy. It’s not easy to do something when playing against teams like in League 1.”
“Our president buzzed that he should have met Pepa before the game!”

Welllens delighted with the cunning orientation
Chief Orient Richie Wellens was understandably proud of his team’s efforts.
He said, “We have made a chance, we created problems for them and the atmosphere was great. The goals for us are so obvious. Their wings remained tall and wide and creating problems. I am disappointed with the last goal. At least it took a big boy to come and Blend.
“When he pulls out this draw, you worry that the player’s mind is going to it. We need our feet in the last 20 minutes. Our guys learn their stores. The game management is what you need to be a real player.
“It was a great atmosphere, they are great clothes and I wish them well against Madrid. The sound of our president met Pep.”
