The shocking news appeared on the Dough of the Middle Order of Shreyas Iyer after his winning hit in the first match between India and England. According to reports, Shreyas Iyer was not even for the 15-member team considered for a current three-match series, along with the champion trophy.
Shreyas Iyer revealed that he would not be involved in the XI toy for the first to go against England, if not due to the injury to Virat Kohli. The surprising comment after his victory with the four -legged team Rohit Sharma at the Vidarbha Crickket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, February 6th.
Shreyas Iyer not considered for a list of 15 members
Rohit Juglan, a journalist from Revsportza, split into X (earlier Twitter) that Shreyas Iyer initially did not consider it part of the playing XI for the first OTO in Nagpur. He also stated that Iyer was not even on the list for the 15-member team, and there was a discussion for his involvement.
“Break – forget about Shreyas Iyer was not part of the first 11 in Nagpuro Zada - he was not on the list of all for 15 members – his name was a discussion,” Rohit Juglan wrote.
During the throw, Skipper Rohit Sharma said Virat Kohli would miss to go against England for a painful knee. Yashasvi Jaiswal was thought to have replaced Kohli in the XI toys. However, Shreyas Iyer later confirmed in an interview after the match that he was the one who replaced the injured Kohli.
