Six Nations 2025: Ireland made two changes as Peter O’Mahony, Robbie Henshaw Return for Scotland Test | News of rugby
Ireland recalled the experienced two of Peter O’Mahony and Robbie Henshaw at Sunday’s match six nations against Scotland in Murrayfield.
O’Mahony was not included in the team for last week’s 27-22 victory over England, but returned as one of the two changes he called the temporary main coach Simon Easterby.
The 35 -year -old replaces Ryana Baird in the back row, while Robbie Henshaw – who entered last week during the second half in Dublin – replaces Garry Ringrose in the outer center.
Easterby said: “The Sunday game is a significant challenge against Scotland, which had a very good series of autumn nations and launched a six nations with a positive victory for Bonus points over Italy. We took confidence in winning England this week and there are undoubted areas for improvement.
“The selection was again a real challenge that enhances competition for places. As we approach the 2nd round, it is about improvement and construction of momentum. We know that we will have to start the game strongly and fill their physical challenge.”

Can Scotland end the crowd against Ireland?
Scotland has lost its last 10 matches against Ireland and Rory Sutherland, who won 38 tickets on Sunday, believes that the victory on Sunday – for the first time since February 2017 – will serve as a huge impetus to its side.
“It would be massive,” he said. “It is a team that we hold in a very high view. I think there is a little added spice there, because they are, we have gone through, but we have a lot of respect for them.
“It’s a test we are looking forward to and I think it’s a test that we’ll be well ready to win.”
