Released leader of the Federal Election Commission on social networks after Trump removal
President Donald Trump He dismissed the Commissioner of the US Federal Election Commission and the Chairman Ellen Weintraub, sending her a letter regarding her “removal”.
Trump entered his duty on January 20, and since then he has taken over the massive government makeover, ran out and released hundreds of the best officials and civil servants as he tries to install more loyalists and reduce bureaucracy.
Weintraub, like many others, was in Trump’s crossword puzzles, but she didn’t seem to stand.
“Received a letter from the Potus today that will remove me as a commissioner and chairman [the FEC]”Weintraub wrote on Thursday in a post on X.” There is a legal way to replace the Commissioner FEC – that’s not it. I was fortunate to serve American people and aroused good problems along the way. That doesn’t change soon. “
With her post, Weintraub published a copy of the letter from White house.
“Dear Commissioner Weintraub,” the letter states. “This is removed as a member of the Federal Election Commission, immediately in force. Thank you for your service in the Commission.”
The letter was dated January 31, 2025 and was signed by Trump.
Chairman FEC: Trump is ‘harmful to our democracy’ with ‘unfounded’ charges for voter fraud
Weintraub aimed at Trump President in 2019, when she said his “unfounded” claims about voter fraud were “harmful to our democracy.”

“I think it’s harmful to our democracy,” Weintraub told host John Berman, “to spread information if there is no evidence.”
Weintraub insisted that there was no evidence of a furious voter fraud in 2016, responding to Trump’s repeated claims on the opposite.
