A 37-year-old man was killed avalanche In Utah a return state, while snow motorized on Monday, the authorities said.
Scott Wright, from Evanston, Wyoming, was the snow engine with a friend in the Monte Cristo Snow Motoryle area near Rich and Cache Rich County Sheriff’s Office said.
Wright “caught, carried and completely buried in a large avalanche with hard panels” in the Whiskey Hill-Beer Hill hill area in Curtis Creek, said Utah Avalanche Center.
A friend tried to look for Wright, but there was no signal of Lavin’s handover, the Center said. He couldn’t find his buried friend, Wright’s friend called 911 for help.

Rich County Search and Rescue started an effort to find Wright just after 15 hours

Officials said deep snow at the avalanche site prevented the rescuers from finding Wright for almost four hours. Search teams eventually recovered Wright’s body just before 6:30 pm
It was unclear how an avalanche was launched.

Dave Sparks, whose team at Sparks Heavy Rescue helped in search, said Fox13 Salt Lake City That the way the slide fell did his best “extremely complicated”.

“This was difficult because the slide was really, really big. It was one of the bigger I saw,” Sparks said. “There were snow panels that were five meters in a 12 -foot -long thickness – only the monstrous plates of the snow.”
Sparks said that although the return country is perhaps tempting for many, it is also “unpredictable”.
“This year it’s terrible snow, some of the worst snow I’ve ever seen,” he said.
Earlier on Monday, Snowboarder in Little Cottonwood sustained minor injuries after caught in a separate avalanche, the socket reported.
The death of Wright marked the first fatality of the avalanche in Utah this year, according to the center of Utah Avalanche. The avalanches resulted in four death cases last year, while in 2023 three deaths were recorded.
