Haryana robbed a home advantage as the wounds of the quarterfinals of VS Mumbai moved to Calcutus


In a sudden development, the Crown control Committee in India (BCCI) changed the location of the upcoming quarterfinal match by Ranja Trophy 2024-25. BCCI moved the quarterfinal match between Mumbai and Haryana from the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Crickket stadium in Lahli to Eden Gands in Calcutta.

Mumbai, who should arrive at Lahla on Wednesday morning, will now travel to Calcutta later during the day. The match, which should start on February 8, will take away Haryan’s home advantage. Ajinkya Rahane will lead the team in Mumbai, including Suryakumar Yadav and Shimamo Dube, in the knockout match.

According to the Indian Express report, BCCI has made a Last-minute decision to move the quarterfinal match Ranji Trophy between Mumbai and Haryana due to “inevitable circumstances”.

Games Head of BCCI Abey Kurulovan also informed the Krijkaket Haryan and Mumbai Crickket Association (MCA) change through E -Stage. MCA received communication late on Tuesday, stating that the Bengali Cricket Association would resolve all arrangements.

“We have been informed by Ranji Trophy between Haryana and Mumbai, who will be played in Lahli, moved to Eden Gardens in Calcutta due to the inevitable circumstances. The Bengali Cricket Association will host and take care of all arrangements,” said MCA officer -e.

In the second quarterfinals of Trophy, Jammu and Kashmir will face Keral in full, Vidarbha will play Tamil Nada, and the Gujarat will take over Saurashtra.

Although the official reason for changing the place was not provided, it is believed that the time fogs and adverse weather influenced the decision. Earlier, the match between Jamm and Kashmir and Kerala was moved from Srinagar to full for similar reasons, and the weather conditions influenced both games.

“We have a good infrastructure to host the game game, and I’m sure it will be a great play experience for both teams under these conditions,” said the president of the Maharashtra Rohit Pawar Maharashtra Association on Sunday.
