Grammys ceremony opens with homage to Los Angeles

“I love you la,” Billie Eilish said as she performed her birds nominated for Grammy of feathers

The Grammy 2025 awards were opened with a special performance by Los Angeles Dawes, two brothers whose homes were destroyed in recent fires.

The duo was joined on stage by former Grammy winners, including Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Brad Paisley and Brittany Howard to perform the classic song by Randy Newman and Love La.

“It is often said that in the darkest times the best humanity is, and people from Los Angeles are currently a perfect example of this,” said the host Trevor Noah, introducing performance.
