Outgoing Chairman DNC says Democrats should “get stuck” Biden in the 2024 elections
As a democratic national committee prepares to select a new leaderGoing the chairman, Jaime Harrison, claimed that last year they should “get stuck” by then President Joe Biden.
The Democratic Party has long been dealing with Introspection period After the loss of former President Kamala Harris for President Donald Trump in November. Now, given that DNC chose a new chair on Saturday, Harrison thought about the last campaign as he talked to the Associated Press.
One key aspect on AP It was that Harris would have a better chance to win that there was more time because the party was so oriented to the “building of the race” for Biden until the last moment.
Even after Biden’s catastrophic discussion, Harrison was still “riding with a bidet” and seemed surprised when the former president gave up.
“I went into this thinking, okay, you are probably the most successful of my Life’s Life President who poured a ton of money to make sure … Democrats are elected,” Harrison said, developing that people said that Biden’s address was 2024 “There was one of the best conditions of the union we’ve ever seen.”
“Then we move forward to the discussion, and people were like that, it was a terrible debate. And then my thought was: ‘Joe Biden secured the nomination. It is primarily done, and so, I am a loyal guy. We drive with a bidet, “he said.
Asked if Democrats should get stuck with Biden in the presidential race, he claimed that it was in his nature to do so, but the party had other plans.
“It’s my normal setting, it’s to stick to your people, especially, especially people who worked hard on behalf of the party,” he said. “And this is not always the mentality of everyone in my party. And so sometimes, people look aside, ready to invite themselves to a backup.”
Harrison opposed the Democrats panicked because of Biden, while the Republicans circled the wagons around Trump, despite his controversy, suggesting: “Sometimes, I mean, Democrats can learn something in the sense, let him put a line of defense around our people and defend them.”
Harrison seemed unprepared to give up Biden, having only a small group of employees who plays what would happen before time and then calling for a call to Democratic leaders After the news that they get the feeling that the party should move forward, only to find Harris he was already beating him and wrapped their support.
“And so I started sending phone calls just asking,” I’m sure you’ve heard the news of the president, “and to the person, they say,” I just got off the phone with a vice president and promised my support. “I must have chased her calls, because I literally, I call and everyone said,” Well, I support her, “he said.
Now, observing the consequences, Harrison said, “DNC should not only be a rubber stamp for everything the campaign wants.”
“You don’t always have a place at the table, in terms of all arrows and responsibility,” he said. “People want to give you all guilt, but you don’t have the power to make those decisions, and I really think you need to be repeated to tell a better, higher balance.”
After the interview was published, Harrison opposed the title that read: “DNC, leaving the chairman, says that Democrats were to get stuck with Joe Biden in 2024.”
“This title is not right. He stuck” and got stuck “with” are two different things, “he claimed in the post on X.” Yes, I believed that we should have stuck and defended President Joe Biden when he was our nominee, and at the same time when Joe Biden stepped down, I was damn proud to fight for Vice -President Harris to be our next Potus. “
