Dozens of senior US agencies managing foreign assistance on Monday have been put on leave in the middle of an investigation alleged resistance to the President Donald Trump commands.
At least 56 officials of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) has been placed on administrative leave with full salary and fees, Politico First reported. Several hundred performers headquartered in Washington and elsewhere has been dismissed elsewhere, an current and former Associated Press official told Associated Press.
These actions come after State Secretary Marc Rubioa, acting on Trump’s executive order, he paused American foreign aid funded by a state department or USAID. The 90-day break has stopped thousands of humanitarian, development and security programs financed by the US and forced help organizations to release hundreds of employees because they cannot make a salary.

According to the Associated Press, an internal notification of USAIDs sent late Monday said that the new administrator Jason Gray had identified “several actions within USAIDs that seem designed to bypass the president’s executive commands and the mandate of the US people.”
“As a result, we put several USAID employees on administrative leave with full salaries and fees until further notice as we finish our analysis of these actions,” Gray wrote.

The notification has not said which of the dozens of executive orders Trump has signed since they took over the Officer of USAIDs charged with violation, AP said.
The White House and USAID did not immediately respond to the commentary requests.

Those who were on leave were career officers who had served more administration, including Trump’s, former USAID officer, told AP.

Trump criticized foreign assistance and called for an inspection of US assistance programs to determine which US interests set up first and which should be eliminated.
