Israel, Hamas reaches a hostage release agreement. Palestinians to return to the gauze lane

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahua’s office announced on Sunday that an agreement with Hamas had been reached to release additional hostages starting this Thursday, while allowing Palestinians to return to the northern part of Gaza’s belt on Monday morning.
Qatar helped mediate the agreement, which is expected to facilitate the first major crisis of fragile truck between Hamas and Israel.
“After the solid and decisive negotiations led by Prime Minister Netanyahu, Hamas gave up and will make an additional phase of hostage issues this Thursday,” ” Netanyahu’s office said. “As part of this phase, the Israeli citizen of Arbel Yehud, soldier Agam Berger and one additional hostage, will be published.”
The statement is also stated that three additional hostages will be published on Saturday as part of the Agreement.

Israel has confirmed that Hamas has handed over a list that has determined the state of hostages expected to be published in the first phase. Local media also reported the list mentioned by the number of living and dead hostages, although the names were not included.
Israeli officials claim that most of the 26 remaining hostages are alive, which coincides with the list of Hamas provided.
Netanyahua office also said that Israel would allow Palestinians to return to the northern part of Gaza’s belt that began on Monday morning in accordance with Hamas.

Netanyahu reiterated that Israel would not tolerate a violation of the agreement between the two pages, adding that he would continue to seek the return of all the hostages, dead or alive.
Likewise, the White House posted a statement on Sunday afternoon, saying that the US agreement between Israel and Lebani would control and would remain in force until February 18, 2025.
