The Pakistan YouTube star has been ordered to make 12 videos on the well -being of animals as a punishment for illegal possession of a lion cub.
Rajab Butt, who has a 5.6 million subscribers, was painted with a cub after being donated by the owner of another YouTube channel at his wedding last month.
According to the order for socially useful work, Mr Butt was ordered to produce a five -minute video a month for a year to educate his audience.
The authorities moved the cubs to Lahore Safari Zoo and called him Bhatti.
In a statement, Mr Butt said he was sorry that he had accepted the cub and admitted that “the holding of wildlife in such circumstances was inappropriate.”
“As an influencer on social networks, I should create a positive content. I was not authorized to hold Lavic and thus gave the wrong example,” he added.
The court also ordered the Wild Animal Department to help Mr Buttu in the production of its educational content.
The wildlife protection officer reported to Mr Butt to the police after seeing the video he posted last month on his YouTube channel, where he received the cub at his wedding.
He was given in a cage by Umar Dolla, who runs another YouTube channel called Lion Hub.
Mr. Dolla claimed to the court that he was still the legal owner of the animal. However, the judge decided that it was seized by Butt, the local media reported.
G. Butt said he “would” provide socially useful work through their social media platforms and spread a positive message about wildlife rights. ”
Tariq Janjua, Director of Lahore Safari Zoo, told local media that the lions cannot be domesticated and that their posture is cruel to the animal and the danger for humans.
