In a remarkable display of athleticism and hand-eye coordination, he collected the ball in mid-air as he leapt forward, completing one of the most beautiful catches of the game. Dawson, who looked dangerous with a quickfire 25 off 11 balls, had to go, thanks to Neesham’s heroics. This dismissal not only showcased Neesham’s exceptional fielding skills but also provided Bosch with his third wicket, swinging the momentum firmly in favor of the bowling side.

Captain Aiden Markram leads Eastern Cape Sunrisers to victory over Pretoria Capitals

Sunrisers Eastern Cape defeated Pretoria Capitals for 52 runs in the 17th match of the SA20, held in St. George’s Park, Gqeberha, January 22. Sunrisers captain Aiden Markram he was an outstanding player, winning the man of the match award for an unbeaten 68 off 55 balls.

Eastern Cape faced trouble early after losing three quick wickets inside the powerplay, managing just 27 runs in the first six overs. Markram anchored the changes with a calm and composed approach, forging vital partnerships with Marco Jansen (24) and Dawson (25). Despite the wickets swirling around him, Markram ensured Eastern Cape reached a defendable total. Dawson’s late flourish lifted the team to 149/7, while Bosch (3/33) and Will Jacks (2/18) upset the middle order.

The Capitals faltered at the start of their run, losing four wickets for just 34 runs during the powerplay. Jansen was unable to play up front, removing key batsmen including Jack (0) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (7). Still Marques Ackerman (25) i Keagan Lion-Cachet (28) tried to recover briefly, Dawson and Jansen continued to press. The Capitals’ lower order failed to put up any resistance and the team was bowled out for just 97 in 16.3 overs.
