In the coming days, Americans will be inundated with images migrants stuck at the borderjustifiably sad stories of people who pointlessly trekked across the continent because former president Joe Biden he lied to them, and they believed him.
In fact, it has already started. By Tuesday, just a day after Trump was sworn into the hallowed halls of Congress, CBP One’s immigration processing application was shut down, leaving thousands stranded at the border.

The liberal media will try to portray this as President Donald Trump as inhumane and indifferent to the suffering of migrants, but in fact these migrants would not exist at all if the Biden administration had not invented easily reversible asylum programs.
“We were lucky, we got an appointment,” one asylum seeker told CNN. “So we bought bus tickets, we got permission to go through Mexico, a lot of waivers, we did everything legally.”

And they thought they did it all legally. The problem is that Joe Biden was president, not Congress, he may have had the power to ignore immigration law and open the dams on the Rio Grande, but he never had the means to make his ill-fated policies permanent.
Make no mistake, Biden and his cabal of lackeys who lied about his competence knew full well that if Donald Trump won the 2024 election, he would aggressively close the border, leaving thousands in immigration limbo.

Biden’s lax border policy, which itself bordered on insanity, was an electromagnet for migrants. All Donald Trump is doing is turning off the power at the behest of millions of voters who sent him back to the White House to do just that.
While the American people have compassion for the tortured migrants who bought into Biden’s lie that an open border will be open forever, they will not accept the status quo that is suffocating not only our big cities like Boston and Chicago, but also small towns like Springfield, Ohio.
No one sees the suffering of mothers and children caused by Biden’s lies without feeling pity and guilt. But a nation must have borders, and Biden’s disregard for ours is why this suffering is happening.
Now we have foreign gangs like the Venezuelan import Tren de Aragua threatening American cities from coast to coast, selling our children fentanyl and selling each other guns. Even when they are arrested, they find fertile ground for recruitment in our prisons.
There are the tent cities of Bidenville that still dot the landscape of our country. New York’s Roosevelt Hotel, a century-old landmark, now sits in squalor as a de facto, mismanaged Ellis Island.
Maybe Biden and his band of progressive manipulators thought Trump and the Republicans who now control Congress wouldn’t pull the trigger on closing the border, wouldn’t tell thousands of people seeking entry politely but firmly no.
But that’s exactly what Donald Trump is doing and that’s exactly what he was elected to do. If the Democrats wanted some kind of permanent solution to the border crisis, they could have come up with one while they were in power. Instead, they chose stimulus packages that sunk our economy.

Hard choices are called hard choices because they are hard. No one sees the suffering of mothers and children caused by Biden’s lies without feeling pity and guilt. But a nation must have borders, and Biden’s disregard for ours is why this suffering is happening.
Over the next month or two, these sad stories will spread far and wide, and the message will be that Trump and the GOP are heartless and uncaring monsters.
But if past is prologue, then something else is about to happen. Word will spread that the border is closed, and potential migrants will know not to embark on a dangerous journey because it will end with a clear stop sign.
When the border is secure, and only when the border is secure, we can go back to the fancy debates about how many immigrants we should take in, who they should be, where they should come from, and everything else, but until the border emergency, Biden’s creation is stifled, no we can do none of that.

This time around crying and wailing, shots of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez crying at the border and made-up stories about children in cages won’t work.
It’s not an easy choice, but Americans voted for Trump in large part because they understood that Biden’s brazen open-borders policy was not actually kind, but destructive. At the end of the day, as Donald Trump himself might say, “we have no choice.”
