At least nine Palestinians were killed and at least 40 others wounded in an Israeli military operation in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday, Palestinian health officials said. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the aim of the military intervention was to “eradicate terrorism” in the area.
