Oregon elections The office was vandalized and severely damaged just hours before President Trump’s second inauguration.
Portland Police confirmed to Fox News Digital that about two dozen windows and two doors were broken with stones at the Multnomah County Elections office in Southeast Portland early Monday morning.
A department spokesman said an alarm alerted officers to the incident, adding that officers discovered the building had been marked with graffiti.
“We believe 8-10 people are involved,” the officer said. “In addition, there was some anti-government/establishment graffiti on the building.”

Police said multiple suspects fled before officers arrived.
And election worker he told KATU that vandals threw rocks and broke every window on the street side of the building, but nothing appeared to be stolen.
The worker added that there did not appear to be any damage inside the building other than broken glass on the floor and sidewalk outside.

Officials said there was no indication vandalism is in any way connected to Trump’s inauguration.
Police said no arrests have been made.
The incident is under investigation and officials are urging anyone with information to contact Portland Police crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and case reference number 25-17004.

This is not the first incident of political violence to occur in Oregon.
During the 2024 presidential election, an unknown suspect was caught on surveillance video setting fire to a ballot box in Portland with an incendiary device, one of several incidents that occurred in Oregon and Washington state.
Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey called the incident “a direct attack on democracy” because it happened just days before Election Day.
The first ballot box fire occurred on October 8 between 3:30 and 4:00 am Vancouver, Washington, the FBI said. No ballot was damaged in that incident.

Two other incidents occurred between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. in Vancouver on Oct. 28 and Portland. Hundreds of ballots were destroyed in a Vancouver box, while officials said three were damaged in Portland.
All three incidents involved improvised incendiary devices placed on the outside of boxes. Investigators recovered enough material from the device to they connect all three fires.
Authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction the suspect.
