Thousands of people took part in the “People’s March” in Washington on Saturday as a sign of protest against the policies of the newly elected US President Donald Trump. Members of civil rights and social justice groups who campaign on issues such as access to abortion, climate change, the need for better protection from gun violence and immigrant rights participated in the march.
