MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough says he ‘didn’t see’ Biden’s mental breakdown
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said Wednesday he hadn’t seen it President Biden’s mental breakdown in White House meetings as several questioned the president’s legacy as he prepares to hand the presidency back to President-elect Donald Trump.
“I spent, as I said before, two and a half to three hours with Joe Biden in the White House, all over the White House, talking at length and in detail about foreign policy issues. And he was as sharp as anybody with I talked and he spoke in fact as a man who has been doing this since he was 29 years old and is the new world leader. said is Scarborough.
During the conversation, Scarborough responded to Edward Luce from the Financial Times, who in article published on Wednesday that Biden’s mental decline is an “open secret” in Washington.
“I don’t know if it’s that easy that everyone in Washington, DC, thought the man was ill-equipped to be president of the United States. I know that’s what they say on social media, but it certainly wasn’t my I guess Mike Barnicle said the same thing as Mika,” Scarborough said.

Scarborough and Brezinski were some of Biden’s biggest defenders and closest allies in the media. However, Scabrorough questioned the president’s ability after the June debate against Trump.
In March 2024, Scarborough lashed out at viewers who couldn’t handle the “truth” that Biden was the best there ever was.
“I’ve been saying this for years, he’s convincing. But I underestimated when I said he was convincing, he’s way beyond convincing. In fact, I think he’s better than he’s ever been, intellectually, analytically, because he’s been around for 50 years.” , Scarborough said during the broadcast in March. “Start your tape now because I’m going to tell you the truth. And who if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever.”

Luce dismissed the MSNBC host’s claim that foreign leaders and people closest to Biden were “surprised” by how tough the president has been in meetings.
“I’m not really making things up here. I’ve also talked to people who know Biden, and I can assure you that I’ve had many conversations over the past few years about his dwindling energy, his dwindling memory, his dwindling daily schedule to accommodate his increasingly lower memory and energy, so I’m not putting this out of the blue,” said Luce.
Scarborough said he wasn’t accusing Luce of making anything up and wondered why people watching the president’s downfall didn’t come out earlier and sound the alarm. Scarborough and Luce noted Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, who suggested that Biden not run for re-election in September 2023.

“Because if I saw it, I would say,” Scarborough said.
Luce also said Biden’s claim that he could have won is “highly debatable.”
“I think it’s an understandable sense of some kind of pride in the fact that he defeated Trump in 2020 and he was, as I want to emphasize, a very good president, that he thought he could beat Trump in November. But I think that’s completely wrong.” , I don’t think he has any reason to believe that,” Luce said.
