Chelsea are in talks to sign the “amazing” £81k-a-week winger
Chelsea they have now held talks over a deal to sign the “incredible” young striker, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Blues ready for a busy January
There could be a few comings and goings at Stamford Bridge this month, with the Blues set for another busy transfer window under Todd Boehly. Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi is the main target for Enzo Marescawith the manager looking to strengthen his backline, while the 18-year-old Ajax defender Jorrel Hato is also interesting.
Versatile left back from Lecce Patrick Dorgu is in the sights of West London residents amid the uncertain future of Renato Veiga, with the door open for the Portuguese defender to leave permanently this month, he has now agreed terms with Borussia Dortmund.
WITH Christopher Nkunku’s future in serious doubtMaresca could also be tasked with strengthening up front this winter, with the manager having several options in mind.
Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund is one of the players on the shortlist, while Chelsea are also planning a move to Sporting CP Conrad Harderwhich was called “the new Gyokeres”.
Connected
The Blues have several strikers under consideration, and have now taken the first concrete steps towards closing a deal, with Fabrizio Romano reports that they have been in talks with Bayern Munich over a deal for Mathys Tel.
The Premier League the side are now in early contact with Bayern, having requested to be informed of Telo’s situation at the Allianz Arena. The winger recently spoke to manager Vincent Kompany to confirm that he wants to succeed with the German club, but it remains to be seen whether he will be swayed by Chelsea’s interest.
Tel could become a top player
The Frenchman has struggled for playing time with Bayern for much of the current season, but has proven himself when given the chance in the past, registering seven goals and five assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances last season.
These are impressive numbers, considering that the starlet is only 19 years old, and Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg obviously rates him highly because praised as “amazing” back in March of last year.
With Nkunku potentially on the move, Chelsea may need to bring in a versatile striker this winter, and the Bayern ace fits the bill in that regard as he has highlight on both wings and in the position of central attacker in his career so far.

However, £81k a week the teenager has been most productive on the left wing, suggesting he may be best suited to push Jadon Sancho for a starting spot in that area of the pitch.
Although it is still very early days, it is clear that Chelsea have a concrete interest in Tel, and he could be an exciting signing if they can seal a deal with Bayern Munich.
