Bolivians march for four days protesting against the president, the economy
Thousands of supporters of former Bolivian President Evo Morales arrived in the capital La Paz on Monday after a four-day march of around 100 kilometers, protesting economic hardship. The group of mostly indigenous people – according to government estimates about 2,300, and according to organizers 5,000 – are demanding the resignation of current leader Luis Arce. Inflation in Bolivia was 9.9 percent in 2024, the highest in 16 years, according to official data. The country has also been hit by fuel and foreign exchange shortages.
