Sydney Thunder batsman Sam Konstas has been the lone warrior for his team in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 match against Perth Scorchers. The match between these two teams is played at the Sydney Showdown Stadium in Sydney.

Sam Konstas scored a solid half-century for Sydney Thunder in the ongoing match. Despite the wickets falling at the other end, the batsman looked brilliant and ensured his team crossed 100-plus runs, which at one stage looked impossible.
Sam Konstas finished with an innings of 53 runs off 42 balls. He batted at a strike rate of around 127 and also hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. Apart from him and Chris Green, no other batsman crossed the 20-run mark, which speaks volumes about the team’s poor record.
For the Perth Scorchers, Cooper Connolly was one of the performers with the ball. Apart from a frugal spell with the ball, he removed Sam Billings and what caught the attention of many was his unique celebration after conceding a wicket.
Connolly shot to the arm and Billings pulled back a little too much in an attempt to force him offside. The ball slipped and hit the top of the leg stump after the throw. Then he came up with the iconic bow and arrow celebration.
