Amad Diallo reveals the reasons behind signing a new long-term contract with Man Utd
Amad Diallo says he is looking forward to a long career at Manchester United after signing a new long-term deal.
The white-haired man was a good story about a difficult season for United so far. The Red Devils are languishing in the bottom half Premier League tableafter winning just six of the 20 games they played, and were forced to part with the services of manager Erik ten Hag in October in favor of the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
The Portuguese manager, who oversaw a perfect start to the season for previous employers Sporting CP, has revealed he is struggling at Old Trafford – a complete change in the team’s playing style is one of many factors in United’s struggles – but one bright spark has been the dazzling form of Amado.
The winning goal in Manchester City it was recently followed by an equalizer against United’s bitter rivals Liverpool, scored a few days before signed a new contract for five and a half years.
Revealing his joy at the extension of his stay, Amad shared United’s club channels: “It means a lot to me because I love this club. Every time I put on the shirt, I’m so proud.
“Every time I’m on the pitch, I want to fight for this club and I’m so happy to be here for a long time.”
Speaking of his i UnitedAmad has improved under Amorim, he continued: “Yes, we’re learning every day. We’re learning, you know, it’s a new system for everyone. It wasn’t easy at first, but I think now the team is starting to understand the system a little bit more.
“The manager and the staff are at the training ground every day to help us, to better understand the system. We are very happy to have them and we want to follow them for the system, because we know that in the end they will have success.”
Amad might get his next chance to shine Premier League rivals Arsenal in dessert FA Cup third round tie. United are holders of the competition, having beaten City in last season’s final at Wembley, but lost 2-0 to the Gunners in the same fixture less than a month ago.
