Nomura hires Sudhir Nemali as chief operating officer for international wealth
SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Japan’s Nomura Holdings has appointed Sudhir Nemali as managing director and chief operating officer of its international asset management business, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Friday.
Nemali, who has more than three decades of wealth management experience, joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was most recently chief operating officer of the Germany-based bank’s wealth management and private banking division for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. of the Latin American region, as well as a member of the board of the Deutsche Bank branch from Singapore, the letter shows.
Nemali will be based in Singapore and report to Aleem Jivraj, Nomura’s chief operating officer for global markets, and Ravi Raj, Nomura’s head of international asset management (IWM), the memo said.
“IWM has grown dramatically over the past four years and as we move into the next phase of our growth, Sudhir will work closely with the IWM management team and our corporate partners to drive all aspects of the build,” Jivraj and Raju said in a memo. .
“This will include developing future strategy and business plans and ensuring that our platform and processes can fully support our ambitions to become a leading player in wealth management in Asia,” they added.
