The European Union warns Google and Apple to align with its large technological rulebook – or risk large fines

“Today’s decisions are wrapped in bureaucracy, slowing down Apple’s ability to innovate for users in Europe and forcing us to give our new features to companies that do not have to play according to the same rules,” the company states.
Apple said he would continue to cooperate with the European Commission to “help understand our worries on behalf of our users.”
The Commission also said on Wednesday Google did not do enough to adhere to DMA. Despite the changes, including the removal of the flight list, Google continued to give its advantage to its own services in search results, it is said.
Google also fails to let the app developers direct users to cheaper options beyond their Google Play Store application, according to a commission in preliminary findings.
Google said that the EU findings will require the company to make even more changes in the way it shows some search results, “which would make it difficult for people to find what they are looking for and reduce traffic to European affairs. This is simply wrong.”
