Seattle suburbs cancel the police event through the Christian beliefs of the cafe owner
The suburb of Seattles canceled its upcoming “Coffee with a cop“An event after facing protests over the Christian beliefs of the cafe owner.
Radio host Seattlea Jason Rantz reported that the city Coast, Washington, Canceled an event in the community, which aims to strengthen the relationship between police officers and residents, after the city’s Facebook page is overwhelmed by the negative comments of liberals upset, which Pilgrim Coffeehouse will host events.
Pilgrim Coffeehouse is owned by Keith Carpenter, the head of the Pastor of the Epic Life Church. The Church says she believes that the marriage is between “one man and one woman” on his website.
The comments vowed to hold a protest, and one even invited the cafe to leave the city, saying that Carpenter’s views were not aligned with the ideals of the progressive city.

“He chose a Christian homophobic cafe!” The account entitled “Sounder Sam” was published as part of the City announcement. The same person warned the community that “Pro lgbtqia2s+ protest” planned outside the cafe in the morning.
Other comments accused the city of choosing a “bigotted” and “anti-lgbtqia+” and asked him to host it elsewhere.
In response to a return reaction, the coast rapidly canceled the event, Rantz reported.
“It was neither the intent of the department nor the city that any member of the community feels undesirable on the basis of selecting the scene and values that the place may or may not retain. When planning future events, we will be more intentional with our selection of the place,” wrote the Shoreline UA City Councilwoman Statement on March 12 Posted on Facebook.

The announcement of the cancellation was mostly positive comments.
“Thanks, Shoreline !!!! My family feels a little more secure in our neighborhood, thanks to this decision,” he read one comment under the City Hall Facebook post. Another said, “Thank you for listening and doing the right thing.”
Carpenter also responded to the cancellation of the post, outlining all the ways in which his Church helps the needy in the community and binding that everyone would be treated with respect and dignity in his cafe.
He also spoke against dismissal in an interview with Rantz.
“It’s certainly a form of discrimination,” Carpenter told the host radio, adding that he does not want to play the “victim map”.

Carpenter said he could handle the internet blows, but that the “obvious lies” spread about his church and cafe.
“We serve anyone who enters the door. I don’t even know (if they are LGBT). We don’t ask questions. So, it’s for us like a non-stain, because no one asks questions at the door. Anyone who walks in that area will get the same beautiful, generous, generous, great hospitable treatment. And probably the best cup to have the whole month.”
He said that “it doesn’t make much sense” that the city would exclude his job from participating in the event, at the same time, presenting his inclusive values.
